Background

Dr. Biren Chokshi is a Doctor of Medicine and is a board certified orthopedic surgeon by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Chokshi is affiliated with Day Kimball Hospital and Windham Hospital and has been in practice at The Center For Bone & Joint Care since 2003.

 

Dr. Chokshi has a Master of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering and received his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School. He completed his residency and orthopedic residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and completed a Fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases. 

 

During Fellowship he was assistant team physician for the New York Mets.

 

Dr. Chokshi’s areas of expertise include arthroscopy and minimally invasive surgery, sports medicine, total joint arthroplasty, and hand surgery.

 

Dr. Chokshi, as past assistant team surgeon with the New York Mets, enjoys all sports but baseball is by far his favorite. He also enjoys exercise, traveling to domestic and Caribbean destinations, and Porsches. Most of all, he loves to spend time and have fun with his wife, Melissa, and their children.
